Police appeal after Bargoed assault
GWENT Police is appealing for information following the report of an assault that occurred on Hanbury Road, Bargoed at approximately 2.20am on Sunday 7th October.
A 34 year old man was walking along the road when he was approached from behind and pushed to the ground. The offender then ran off.
The victim sustained a cut to the face and was taken to Prince Charles Hospital for treatment - he has since been released.
Officers are investigating the incident and ask that anyone with information calls 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
