A BLACKWOOD man has been raising money in memory of his brother, who died of cancer in 2009.

Scott Eales, 17, and workmates from Planet Fitness in Aberbargoed have already raised over £1,500, with the money going to charity Jacob’s Starz, which funds treats and days out for youngsters battling lifethreatening conditions.

The charity was set up in memory of Jacob Eales, who would have celebrated his 18th birthday this year, but died three years ago.

Jacob’s family have raised thousands of pounds, with his brother and friends Phil Horley, 37, and Mat Morris, 30, climbing the three highest mountains in Wales in 12 hours.
