1. How did you get into your current job?

I set myself up as self-employed and represented the firm on a large contract in Swindon. After six months they offered me an employed position as audit manager. Eighteen months later I was invited to become a partner in the practice.

Taking orders and payments in a pizza takeaway shop

Being the best I can be in all areas of my life

Negativity

7. Who do you most admire in business and why?

Paul Byett, managing partner at UHY Hacker Young – he’s a truly inspirational character.

8. What was the last book you read and what did you think?

Managing the Professional Service Firm – David Maister. It was very thought provoking.

9. What do you do to relax?

Keep fit and drink wine

10. What dreams are you still fulfil?

To travel and see the most beautiful places on earth.

11. What was the last film you saw at the cinema and what did you think?

Mamma Mia – don’t go very often – loved the singing!

12. Favourite food and place to eat it?

I am vegetarian and love all things green! Bob at the Waterloo Hotel makes a good veggie fish and chips.

13. What car do you drive?

Chrysler Grand Voyager - I have five kids!

14. What’s in your car’s CD player at the moment?

Nothing. I like listening to the radio.

Winning the office fat club (I beat Paul Byett)

Falling down the stairs on a date!

Work and study hard to qualify – it’s not easy but opens many doors.
