More than 130 local and national businesses are expected to attend the Dragons of Newport Business Networking Club’s free quarterly open event on September 10.

Thirty companies have already expressed an interest in attending the event before details have been released.

John Newell, chair of the Dragons of Newport, is delighted by the number of businesses expressing an interest to attend.

He said: “This will be our third open networking breakfast of the year. The quarterly event is very popular in the local business community and we now receive enquiries before we officially announce the event details.”

Kevin Green, a self-made multi-millionaire and social entrepreneur, is confirmed as the guest speaker, and the Dragons are keen to receive offers by local businesses to sponsor the event.

John Newell said: “Kevin will be sharing his experience and knowledge and delivering his ‘Simple routes to profitable businesses’ presentation to provide delegates with ideas they can take away to put to use in their own roles. We are without a sponsor at the moment for the event and keen to speak to companies interested in promoting their products and services exclusively to over 130 local businesses. As a not for profit organisation, the sponsorship of the event is essential to enable us to cover its costs and to keep it free of charge for all attending.”

The event will start at 7am and includes facilitated networking sessions, a light breakfast and refreshments before concluding by 9am.
