Blaenavon-based compliance and business consultancy firm RWA has made a further appointment this week to its insurance broker support team.

Kirk Ford has joined the compliance consultancy team from Optimum Credit where he was training and competence manager, having also worked as compliance officer for Newport-based Go Compare for a number of years.

He will have responsibility for looking after the compliance and training and competence needs of RWA’s insurance broking clients in Wales and the South West.

RWA director Tom Wood said: “RWA is one of the largest compliance consultancy firms in the UK and our continued growth in both the compliance and business consultancy areas of the insurance industry mean that we have to recruit quality personnel to continue delivering work of high value and expertise. Kirk will add a tremendous amount of value to our clients and partners across all of our services in the Wales and West region. We are looking forward to working with him and expect to announce more recruits in the near future.”

Kirk said: “The whole RWA team has made me very welcome and I’m looking forward to developing relationships with our clients. Compliance and training and competence are extremely important to insurance brokers and I am keen to educate and help them through the regulatory challenges. Having spoken to other compliance consultancies I decided to join RWA as I was impressed with their culture and reputation in the market.”
