The M4 Business Network continues to expand its influence across South Wales with the announcement that Johnsey Estates UK Ltd has become its latest sponsor.

By joining the high-profile network Johnsey Estates has gained further access to an extensive community of business professionals and leaders from some of the region’s most successful businesses.

Currently membership stands at more than 200 companies and individuals and continues to grow as it attracts the UK’s foremost corporate, political and celebrity speakers. That list includes Wales’ first billionaire, Sir Terry Matthews, former Conservative minister, Ann Widdecombe, and, most recently, Band Aid founder, Midge Ure.

Johnsey Estates is a long established local business which has been at the forefront of property development and investment in the region for more than 50 years.

The business has always brought forward entrepreneurial property transactions. Its current flagship is Mamhilad Park Estate, midway between Newport and Abergavenny, which comprises a significant business park offering a range of 'easy in easy out' accommodation as well as longer term lets.

James Crawford, chief executive officer of Johnsey Estates, said: “We are delighted to act as a sponsor to this high profile and successful Business Network and look forward to providing our support in the future.

“We continue to be very active in the region working with many national, public sector and increasingly smaller private sector organisations to satisfy their property requirements. We have a portfolio of land and buildings in excellent locations for which demand is strong.”

Paul Byett, chairman of the M4 Business Network and managing partner of UHY Hacker Young, said: “We are pleased to welcome Johnsey Estates as our newest sponsor.

“Johnsey Estates is renowned for spotting high value development opportunities. Time and again their successes generate new business opportunities for Welsh companies, while encouraging businesses outside of Wales to see the value of investing here. We are delighted that they have also recognised the value of our network and the benefits it provides it sponsors and members.”

Other sponsors of the club include UHY Hacker Young Chartered Accountants and the South Wales Argus.
