Independent lender Henry Howard Finance has appointed Gavin Dowding as its head of data.

His appointment will mean he can optimise use of the Langstone-based company’s growing database.

Gavin brings more than 10 years’ experience of managerial and database development, specialising in data warehouse architecture and modelling.

He has been tasked with bringing together Henry Howard’s information under one centralised system to provide a better view of the data and allow the company to run more efficiently.

The company is investing in infrastructure to enable even better client service and facilitate growth. Gavin will work across all divisions of Henry Howard to oversee this process.

A University of Sheffield graduate, IT veteran Gavin has a proven track record of rapidly improving efficiency and ROI in different business sectors.

Gavin joins Henry Howard from Sorensen Media where he was a data visualisation specialist. Before this he worked as a business intelligence manager at both Brightside Group PLC and Wales & West Utilities.
