The Dragons of Newport Business Networking will be hosting its third Big Breakfast of the year next month.

The event will be held on September 14 in the Bisley Suite at Rodney Parade, Newport.

Sponsored by the St Pierre Marriott Hotel & Country Club, attendees at the free business networking event will have the opportunity to introduce themselves to more than 100 local companies and organisations.

The guest speaker has been confirmed as former AM and Minster, Jeff Cuthbert who was recently voted in as Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent.

John Newell, chairman of the Dragons of Newport and managing director of Kingston Newell Estate Agents in Newport, said: “Our quarterly Big Breakfasts have become a ‘must attend event’ in the Newport business diary.

“The numbers of visitors to our events has grown considerably since we started hosting them three years ago. The majority of our members are business owners themselves and we plan the Big Breakfasts to provide as many opportunities as possible for all attending. It really doesn’t matter how big a business is or how long it has been established for, everyone is equally welcome and encouraged to introduce themselves and their products and services to others.”

The Dragons of Newport was established five years ago by local business people who were keen to work together for the benefit of each other. The not-for-profit organisation has grown considerably in this time and now includes representatives from 25 local companies who attend The Ridgeway Kitchen and Bar every Wednesday morning. In the last year the members referred more than £250,000 of invoiced business to each other demonstrating the effectiveness of the group.
