CHARTERED financial adviser Della Tew has been appointed to a key position at Kymin Financial Planners as it strengthens this area of expertise.

The 57-year-old chartered financial planner arrives at the Newport-based business after almost 30 years working in the financial services industry.

Della, who has moved to live near Blackwood, has the key role of handling the financial concerns of Kymin’s older clients.

Della said: “Although I advise on all areas of financial planning, I specialise in the matters of ‘later life’ clients. There are a whole host of financial issues which are specific and crucial to older people and which need to be addressed professionally and in good time.”

Kymin managing director Robin Hall said: “Della started with us on July 1 and has been in the industry since 1989. Della’s appointment is important for Kymin in the continuing expansion of our business.

“As well as being a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, she recently became an Associate Member of SOLLA (Society of Later Life Advisers). As we are all living longer this is a clear area of increasing need.”

Keen walker, gardener and outdoors enthusiast Della said: “Having moved house recently for more space and a bigger garden, I am enjoying getting to grips with growing vegetables keeping chickens. I also enjoy walking and cycling around Gwent’s beautiful countryside.”
