Networking group the Dragons of Newport is expecting more than 130 local companies and organisations to attend its next free Big Breakfast on June 7 in the Bisley Suite at Newport’s Rodney Parade.

More than 100 companies have already registered online to attend the quarterly breakfast network event, which is being sponsored by Chepstow Racecourse.

It will include a presentation from Rachel Jones, chief executive of Arts & Business Cymru.

Penny Jarman, business development manager for Cwmbran solicitors Ruben, Lewis O’Brien and a member of the Dragons of Newport, said: “Since we opened our online registration pages a couple of weeks ago, we have received a record number of bookings and expect more to enrol between now and June 7. The feedback we have received from previous Big Breakfasts is always positive and our event is now one of the ‘must attend’ networking dates in the area.”

Key to covering the costs of hosting the event, the Dragons offer local businesses a variety of advertising opportunities which start from just £25.

Ami Jones, director of Aible and a member of the Dragons of Newport, said: “Our Big Breakfasts have always been free to attend. That was a decision we made when we started hosting them a couple of years ago. We are delighted that Chepstow Racecourse have agreed to be our headline sponsor. Our costs increase in line with the popularity of the Big Breakfast therefore we are still very keen to encourage other local businesses to get in touch to find out about our other advertising options.”
