Brand Lab, the Newport-based tech company disrupting the fashion industry, has appointed a former head of UK sales for Burberry as its head of international business development.

Amanda Osbourne will join Brand Lab in September. The firm is reportedly creating waves across the tech and fashion sectors after developing the first fully-integrated global online wholesale platform.

Amanda will be promoting the business to key retailers and buyers, and will also have the responsibility of ensuring the online product offer is kept exciting and relevant.

Brand Lab chief executive Jennifer Drury said: “We feel Amanda’s international experience over the last 25 years in the fashion business puts her in an ideal position to oversee and develop the company’s sales strategy in both the short and the long term, and will ensure Brand Lab builds the key relationships necessary on a worldwide basis.”

Amanda has been running Brand Studio Ltd – her own successful consulting and management company – for the last 10 years, working with a series of well-known brands and retail partners across the world. Prior to this she was managing director at Amanda Wakeley, Gianfranco Ferre and Cerruti 1881.

Brand Lab founder Dan O’Connell said: “Brand Lab has had some major achievements since inception as we have quickly grown into a major global influence in the fashion/tech sector.

“The appointment of Amanda Osborne is another hugely significant milestone in our story, and I am absolutely delighted that someone of such high calibre is joining us as we enter such an important phase of growth.”
