Cwmbran-based telecommunications provider RPS Technology Solutions has been helping out the charity Protate Cymru.

The firm has installed its advanced technology solutions free of charge in Prostate Cymru’s office in Cardiff.

Prostate Cymru was established in 2003 and aims to raise awareness, promote understanding and fund both the latest medical equipment and training of healthcare professionals.

Prostate Cymru’s aim is to ensure that all men in Wales have equal access to tests, treatments, knowledge and support.

RPS provided four cordless phones, a broadband connection, management of the main number, and a door phone which links to the office and integrated voicemail system. It also provided the charity with software for smart mobile devices to allow working from home easier. RPS covered the cost of all of the equipment and installation.

Ron Griffiths, managing director of RPS Technology Solutions, said: “Helping Prostate Cymru was a huge honour for us. The effort put in by the charity is incredible and to be able to provide them with the technology to further their success is something that we are extremely proud to be a part of. The work Prostate Cymru does is critical in the fight against cancer, and with the help of our advanced technology system we hope that they will continue to help more men across Wales battling with the disease. ”

Tina Tew, chief executive at Prostate Cymru, said: “We are extremely grateful to Ian and RPS for their support. The charity has grown in recent years, and this equipment will make a big difference to our day to day operation and how we are able to support our many fundraisers and volunteers.”
