A whole host of new names are coming to Cwmbran Centre.

Patisserie Valerie, Three, Heron Foods and the British Heart Foundation have been announced as new signings by M&G Real Estate, owner of the shopping centre.

These new lettings add to a bumper year at the centre, with 16 brands recommitting and a further eight new lettings throughout 2017 bringing the one million square foot centre to 98 per cent let.

Patisserie Valerie, the British chain of luxury handmade cakes, will be opening a new café, having taken a 1,533 sq ft space on a 10-year lease. Three, the global mobile phone and broadband provider, has signed a 10-year lease to take a 1,600sq ft unit.

In addition, the British Heart Foundation has secured a 7,709 sq ft store, also on a 10-year lease. The new store will be part of BHF’s furniture and electrical line, offering sofas, dining sets, beds and other electrical appliances and furnishings.

Heron Foods, a British food retail brand, will take 4,152 sq ft on a 10-year lease. The new letting is the retailer’s first store in South Wales and third overall store in Wales.

Rupert Milne, asset manager at M&G Real Estate, said: “We work hard to expand our offer for the local community and these new lettings are proof of our commitment to Cwmbran. The centre has now reached close to full capacity, and with free parking and a wide mix of names, we are pleased to offer local residents a great shopping destination at the heart of their town.”
