THE latest business to sign up as a sponsor of the South Wales Argus Business Awards is Johnsey Estates, the owner of Mamhilad Park Estate, near Pontypool.

The commercial property business is backing the newly-created Entrepreneur of the Year category, which is open to entrepreneurs from around Gwent aged 35 and over.

Johnsey Estates is a leading south Wales property company with a range of office and work space rentals and development opportunities.

Another new category sponsor is St Joseph's Hospital which has signed up as sponsor of the Start Up Business of the Year.

They are joining a host of other sponsors for the awards, which are set to become one of the highlights of the Gwent business calendar.

Newport Now Business Improvement District is the headline sponsor, and as part of its sponsorship deal two categories will be only open to BID levy payers. These are for the Best BID Independent of the Year and the Best BID National of the year.

Sponsors of other categories include Western Power Distribution, Newport City Council, MHA Broomfield Alexander, Kymin, Monmouthshire Building Society and Icon Creative Design.

South Wales Argus MD Hussain Bayoomi has thanked all the sponsors for backing the awards and urged businesses from across Gwent enter the awareds before the deadline on July 20.

The business awards will be presented at an event at the Newport Centre on September 27, 2018.
