The annual ceremony highlights the importance of apprenticeship programmes for employers and employees, overseen by Coleg Gwent Business with the support of Coleg Gwent.

The college welcomes more than 450 apprentices each year thanks to its links with employers. Coleg Gwent is part of the Pembrokeshire College led B-WBL consortium which works with work based learning partners across South Wales.

Stephen Owen, business development director, said: “It’s important that we recognise and celebrate what our apprentices achieve, the work our dedicated businesses offer and the support provided by colleagues at Coleg Gwent and Coleg Gwent Business.

"The ceremony provides us with the opportunity to hear our apprentices’ journeys which is inspirational.

“What is particularly delightful is when we hear the journeys from our apprentice who have gone over and above and their success in progressing in their chosen careers.”
