Business investment in Torfaen and increasing customer demand are behind the opening of a new Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch at a commercial site on Llanfrechfa Way which has been unused for two years.
Six jobs will be created by the new branch, two of which will be for graduates on the Enterprise Rent-A-Car management trainee programme, a global scheme which can lead to job opportunities across Europe and North America.
The branch will provide companies and residents in Cwmbran, Pontypool, Abergavenny and Monmouth access to an extensive fleet of cars and light commercial vehicles through a range of daily, weekly and longer term programmes.
The site adds to Enterprise’s growing network of more than 370 locations throughout the UK.
Luke LeSauteur, Enterprise’s regional manager for the Wales, said: “We are seeing increasing demand for our services in South Wales, reflecting the growth in business and opportunities in Cwmbran and the surrounding area.
“Up until now our site in Newport served Torfaen and Monmouthshire. While the Newport branch is going from strength to strength, our new location in Cwmbran will offer local people and businesses more convenient access to our rental services.
“It’s great to be a part of the business investment in Cwmbran. It’s a real success story for South Wales. We look forward to welcoming people to our new branch and hiring for positions there.”
