One of the UK’s leading experts in energy-saving technology and construction, which has a base in Caerphilly, is among the first companies in the country to be allowed to provide a complete start-to-finish service for the government’s Green Deal programme.
SERS Energy Solutions Group, which has offices in Caerphilly, Stoke-on-Trent and Lockerbie, has been approved by government to assess properties for suitability for Green Deal measures, draw up plans, provide finance and complete the work.
SERS, which is coming up to its 25th year in business, specialises in the design, supply and installation of energy-saving technology.
Director of the firm Mike Roberts said: “The Green Deal is an affordable way for people to drastically cut their energy bills by ensuring their home has the best possible environmental performance. However it is important that assessors are fully qualified and work to the strict code of practice laid down.”
