The CEO of one of Wales’ fastest-growing IT consultancies has been recognised among the world’s leading managed service provision executives for the fourth year in a row.

Paul Brown, CEO of Newport-based Certus TG, has once again been named on Nine Lives Media’s MSPMentor 250, a prestigious list of the leading executives, entrepreneurs and experts in the managed service provision sector.

The individuals on the list are selected from candidates working in managed service industries, including business, technology, sales, marketing and community development.

Certus TG provides an all-inclusive range of IT services to clients across the UK, including server virtualisation, cloud storage solutions, disaster recovery and managed IT support services. Headquartered in Newport, it also has offices in Hemel Hempstead.

Certus TG was acknowledged by Nine Lives Media’s MSP501 Global Edition report last year, attaining a ranking of number 23 among managed services providers in Europe, and number 128 in the world.

Mr Brown said: “I am honoured to be acknowledged on this prestigious list. Certus has continued to grow from strength-to-strength over the last year, and to be globally recognised as one of the leaders in our field is an acknowledgement of the whole team’s hard work and ambition.

“This recognition tops off a number of significant industry accolades in the last 12 months, having become the first company in Wales to be awarded Triple Gold Competency status from Microsoft, and the first to be accredited by Dell for our desktop virtualisation capabilities.

“We have ambitious plans to continue our development in 2015, including further increasing our workforce.”

Jessica Davis, executive editor of MSPmentor, said: “We congratulate Paul on this distinguished honour and thank our readership community for submitting the nomination.”

Established in 2001, the company has grown from an initial team of just two to 40, with an annual turnover of more than £3 million.

Based at Celtic Springs near Newport, Certus TG is one of Wales’ largest IT consultancies supporting 120 companies. Current clients include the Millennium Stadium, Freshwater, Broomfield & Alexander, Premier Global, Julian Hodge Bank, Tenovus and Watts Gregory LLP.
