PROMISING motorcyclist Dale Thomas has recruited the support of Balckwood-based jobs business Clear Sky Recruitment.

The 21-year-old from Caerphilly began his journey into the world of racing in 2012, riding a Minitwin Suzuki SV650cc and it did not take long for his talent to get noticed.

With only a mere handful of track days under his belt, Dale recorded the fastest lap of the race in his first outing at the famous Brands Hatch circuit and he surprised many when he finished on the podium in third place.

Sponsorship is crucial to the continued success of competitors.

Dale said: “DT Racing is very pleased to have the support of Clear Sky Recruitment for this season’s Superstock 600 Championship. Support from businesses like this is essential for us to compete at this level and hopefully I will do everyone proud with some positive results.”

Dale won the Minitwin Championship and the Minitwin Newcomers Championship in his first year.

Despite his relative ‘newbie’ status to the sport, Dale opted to ride a Kawasaki ZX6R, on which he managed an impressive eight wins and no less than 14 podium finishes aged 19.

Last year Dale’s winning ways continued as 2014 brought him eight wins, seven podium finishes and a string of lap records at club level. Having dipped his toe into the world of British Superbikes, this years sees Dale and his team (DT Racing) competing in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship for the full season of 2015.

Dale will be riding a Yamaha R6 which he is testing at the Almeria race track in the photograph above.

Ross Porter, managing director of Blackwood and Cardiff-based Clear Sky Recruitment, said: “Dale is clearly a talented rider and we are more than happy to support him in his quest for glory in this exciting sector of motor sport.”

Ross is now encouraging other businesses to show their support for Dale. Each round of racing costs in the region of £1,200.
