Recruitment and training specialists, New Directions Holdings, which has a base in Brynmawr, has won the Innovation and Excellence Award for Recruitment and Training at the Corporate LiveWire Awards 2015.

The awards celebrate and reward innovation and excellence in businesses across the UK.

All the winners were subject to a rigorous assessment criteria. It ensured that only the most deserving firms and individuals walked away with one of their prestigious accolades. This year’s winners include prestigious companies such as Google, Deloitte and PwC.

Jeff Tune, CEO for New Directions, said: “To be presented with this award is a true honour and signals a strong presence for New Directions within the UK business community.”

The award comes in a month which also saw the business named as Supplier of the Year at the Welsh Procurement Awards in Cardiff.

Group head of communications Ruth Dalton said: “To be honoured with another award celebrating what we deliver as an organisation is just wonderful. Our teams work so hard to support the communities we work within. To be acknowledged just rubber stamps what we do as an organisation, and drives us to deliver more.”

New Directions have won a number of awards over the past few years, including becoming a Hot 100 Recruiter in 2012 (REC), being listed as one of the top 1,000 companies to inspire Britain by the London Stock Exchange Group in 2013 and being listed in the top 250 recruitment firms in the UK by Recruiter International in 2014.

Regional sales manager Kelly Storer is also up for an award at this year's Investors in People Awards in London.

Kelly was shortlisted for Manager of the Year from candidates from across the world, and will attend a ceremony at the Tower of London in July.
