One of the UK's leading recruitment and training agencies, Acorn has been awarded a place as a Crown Commercial Service supplier on the non-medical, non-clinical temporary staffing framework for the National Health Service.

The new two-year agreement will be rolled out across all its branches and specialist divisions across the UK, and will cover all non-medical roles including in finance and accounting, IT, office administration, purchasing, technical and facilities management, HR and quality management.

The staffing framework agreement supports the government’s policy to centrally manage the procurement of common goods and services through an integrated commercial function.

Steve Newman, Acorn’s bids manager, said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded a place on this important framework. Acorn has an excellent reputation for the specialist and general recruitment support it provides across the public sector UK-wide, and through being awarded a place on the framework ensures we will continue to do so.”

The CCS framework can be used by organisations across the UK public sector including central government, local government, health, education, devolved administrations, emergency services, defence and not-for profit organisations.

The CCS works with both departments and organisations across the whole of the public sector to ensure maximum value is extracted from every commercial relationship and improve the quality of service delivery. The CCS goal is to become the “go-to” place for expert commercial and procurement services.
