Professional advisors Broomfield & Alexander has invested further in the strength of its accounting functions with the appointment of two trainee accountants in its Newport office.

Having completed her first year of her ACCA qualifications, Chelsey Stevenson has joined as finance administrator and will focus on accounts preparation for a range of clients.

“Broomfield & Alexander is the largest independent accountancy practice in Wales, and has a reputation for providing great service to not only their clients but also to their employees,” she said.“I love how heavily they invest in their employees and the effort they put in to keep morale high.”

Chelsey is joined by fellow trainee accountant Callum Ryan, who takes on responsibilities including accounts preparation and producing VAT returns for clients ranging from sole traders and partnerships to limited companies.

“I attended work experience at Broomfield & Alexander at the end of November last year and quickly realised what a great work environment they have here, all thanks to the brilliant members of staff I met. This encouraged me to pursue a career in finance and when I saw a job opportunity with Broomfield & Alexander, I eagerly applied,” he said.

Broomfield & Alexander director Sarah Case said that new talent was the lifeblood of the company.

“We strive to ensure we deliver the best service at every level within the company – and this starts by making sure we are training up the staff of the future,” she said.

“I very much hope that Chelsey and Callum, with our support, will have a rewarding time here with us.”
