Cwmbran-based ICON Training has strengthened its senior management team with the addition of two new members and a promotion.

Alex Bowman and Richard Holmden have joined as project leads, while Gary Denton has been promoted to the role of director, following three years service with ICON.

Gary Denton joined ICON in 2012 as a regional manager and was then promoted to head of operations before being offered the role of director.

Alex Bowman is a University of Southampton Sports Science and Sports & Exercise graduate.

He joins following a number of years working in the sector, primarily with Lifetime Training. His role at ICON involves building and managing relationships with key stakeholders as well as leading, coaching and mentoring a team of service leaders and co-ordinators.

Richard Holmden also joins as a project lead following a career to date that has spanned more than 13 years.

He began his career as a technical skills tutor in health and fitness, followed by a number of senior training and management roles with Lifetime Training. He has managed large teams of regional trainers and learners.
