South Wales jobs business Centric is recruiting staff to take part in the 2016 Admiral City of Newport Half Marathon in aid of St David’s Hospice Care.

The half marathon is being held on Sunday, March 6.

Centric colleagues from the recruitment firm’s centres in Newport, Pontypool, Pontypridd, Cardiff and Swansea, are being encouraged to sign up to take part in the event.

Centric Recruitment business development executive, running rapper Adam ‘Hussain’ Sadler, of Newport rap band Goldie Lookin’ Chain, is taking part again in 2016 after completing the 2014 Newport Half in 1hr, 42.

Adam, from The Gaer, Newport, said: “I run quite regularly and I’m looking forward to the challenge of the Newport half again this year after taking the year off in 2015 following my first ever half marathon in Newport in 2014.

“I’m encouraging my work colleagues to take part in the event for a number of reasons. One is that it helps raise money for St David’s Hospice Care, which does such brilliant work in our community.

“At Centric we always want to give something back. Putting people first is the primary aim of our company and it's only right that we should also strive to do this within our local community.”

Tania Ansell, of St David’s Hospice Care, said: “We’re thrilled that Adam is again taking part in the half marathon and also that he has persuaded his Centric Recruitment work colleagues to join him.”

Centric Recruitment runners will also be raising money for Sparkle and Alzheimer’s.
