Planning consent has been granted to build an additional 65,700 sq ft of warehouse and industrial units at St Modwen’s 100-acre Celtic Business Park development in Newport.

Pete Davies, senior development manager for St Modwen, said: “The planning application for Celtic Business Park has been approved and we have been granted planning consent to deliver two units, measuring 38,000 sq ft and 27,700 sq ft. We will now be able to continue work on-site without delay; ensure the units can be delivered to meet occupier timescales and facilitate ongoing Celtic Business Park delivery.

“The first 48,149 sq ft speculative unit currently underway at the park Park is due to complete next month. The site’s close proximity to junction 23a of the M4 motorway makes it the perfect choice for logistics and distribution firms, as well as local businesses seeking prime real estate in order to flourish and grow. Any businesses interested in rent or purchase opportunities should contact our agents Knight Frank or JLL.”

Celtic Business Park is part of the £1bn Glan Llyn site, being developed by St Modwen which is set to deliver 4,000 new homes and 6,000 new jobs over the next 20 years.

Further design and build opportunities are available to suit requirements from 20,000 – 1.25 million sq ft. For more information on Celtic Business Park, visit www.celticbusinesspark.co.uk.
