A Newport accountant has been named as one of four employees of UHY Hacker Young to be named in the Accountancy Age’s 35 under 35, a list of some of the best and talented accounting young professionals in the UK.

Elliot Buss, a partner with UHY Hacker Young in Newport, joins David Kendrick (partner, Manchester), Marie Pegram (associate, Letchworth), and Victoria Niven (audit senior, Scotland) in being recognised by the industry.

UHY Hacker Young says all four candidates already display impressive achievements and are showing great promise in developing even further within the firm.

Elliot Buss, client partner, started off as a tax manager and runs a large portfolio of clients from small businesses to large multinationals, proving his ability to deal with all aspects of tax.

He has successfully introduced more than 180 new clients to the company, including the creation of a ‘sports desk’ through which he works with more than 30 rugby internationals, two Olympians and two professional footballers.

Jon Warsop, group chairman, at UHY Hacker Young, said: “We would like to congratulate Marie, Victoria, Elliot and David for their well-deserved recognition for their contribution to the firm.”

“The firm is delighted to be working alongside such great young professional talent and we are excited to see how they grow and develop within the company. The future is certainly looking bright for these four.”

The UHY Hacker Young Group is one of the UK’s Top 15 accountancy networks with more than 100 partners and 520 professional staff working from 27 locations around the country.
