Newport-based Bisley, which provides workplace furniture and storage, hosted its annual charity golf day at Newport Golf Club.

The day was open to suppliers and friends of Bisley and was raising money for Welsh Disabled Golf Association and St David’s Hospice Care through the sale of raffle tickets on the day.

Prizes were given for best team, straightest drive and the nearest pin.

Bisley started out in 1931 as a car body repairs business and moved into the needs of workplaces in the 1940s.

The firm now produces more than 15,000 items per week from its Newport factory in Wales. Its products can be bought in more than 50 countries and organisations such as Direct Line, the BBC and PwC use it for their office storage and furniture needs.

Bisley employs 700 people and since 1989 has invested more than £80m - helping it become Europe’s leading manufacturer of steel storage. In fact, 48 per cent of all UK steel storage originates from Bisley.
