CHEERS! Gwent independent brewer Tiny Rebel is not just entering teams into the Three Peaks of Wales challenge but are also sponsors of the gruelling charity challenge for 2017.

Tiny Rebel has added its refreshing backing to the punishing event in aid of Gwent-based end-of-life charity St David’s Hospice Care.

The brewer is now urging others to follow its lead and sign up for the Three Peaks of Wales 2017.

The Three Peaks of Wales sees teams of walkers tackle the three tallest mountains in Wales: Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan. Walkers cover a total distance of 20 miles (32km distance) on foot and ascent of 9,393 ft (2, 863m ascent), all in 24 hours.

The event, in aid of St David’s Hospice Care, will be staged on Saturday June 24, 2017.

Tiny Rebel, a rapidly expanding brewing business, has just located to a 1.5 acre site in Rogerstone, complete with brewery tours, a new bar and event space.

Tiny Rebel is the only Welsh brewery to have claimed the Champion Beer of Britain prize, which it won in 2015 for Cwtch.

Bradley Cummings, of Tiny Rebel, said: “We’ve teamed up to support St David’s Hospice Care frequently over the years. We are very pleased to have now become involved as sponsors and to be taking part in the Three Peaks of Wales event.”

Franca Nigro, of St David’s Hospice Care, said: “We’re thrilled that Tiny Rebel is not only sponsoring this event but also has staff members prepared to take part in what is recognised as being quite a challenging event. I’m really looking forward to seeing them all at the start and again at the finish and perhaps celebrating by raising a glass of Tiny Rebel beer.”

Tiny Rebel is joined by The Castelan Group as sponsors of Three Peaks of Wales 2017.
