THE organiser of a Chepstow two-day music festival is appealing for local businesses to sponsor an extra night for charity.
Carol Mutlow, who owns music shops in Chepstow and Cwmbran, and has put on an annual concert in the town for over ten years, originally called' 'Rock In The Dell' in memory of her daughter Hannah who lost her battle with Cystic Fibrosis 21 years ago at the age of 16.
Hannah was a massive Bon Jovi fan so Mrs Mutlow wanted to put on an emotional tribute to a much-loved and missed daughter.
Last year she moved venue to Chepstow Castle and re-named the event “Castell Roc”.
Mrs Mutlow, of Moor Street, is now planning this year's festival, held in July, in aid of Wales Air Ambulance.
Headline acts for Saturday and Sunday include Ultimate Madness, the Bon Jovi Experience and 4th Street Traffic.
Mrs Mutlow said Elvis tribute act Dean Mack will perform on the Friday.
She said: "We wanted to hold an event on the eve of the festival with no entry fee but donations on the gate, along with three games of Balloon Lotto, to go towards the charity."
"To hold the extra night along with the balloons will cost over £1,000. As it is a stand-alone event, we are looking for sponsors to donate £100 minimum each and we’ll give publicity and two free tickets."
"There's also going to be a funfair, children's entertainments, gymnastics, and morris dancing, and a licensed bar," Mrs Mutlow added.
Castell Roc takes place between July 20 and 22.
