The fireworks display last year
THE SPECTACULAR annual fireworks display in Caerphilly will be taking place this Saturday ( November 3) when thousands are expected to attend the event.
The fireworks kick off at 7pm and people are advised to get there early as the display is very popular.
The best viewing areas are Crescent Road and Dafydd Williams Park.
Crescent Road at the rear of the castle will be closed to traffic from 5pm to 9pm. There will be no access from Nantgarw Road and no parking is allowed in this area.
Temporary parking will be available at the old St Ilan's School site on Pontygwindy Road.
The annual display is put on by Caerphilly Town Council and aided by Aber Valley, Bedwas Trtethomas and Machen, Llanbradach and Pwllypant, Penyrheol, Trecenydd and Energyln and Van Community Councils.
Caerffili Lions Club and Velindre Cancer Centre will be collecting on the night.
In the interest of safety sparklers are not allowed at the event.
