AS the hunt for a murderer wanted for recall to prison continued, it was revealed his brother is also wanted by police and they may be together.

Steven Soal is being hunted after breaching his licence conditions after being released from prison in June 2012.

Steven Soal was serving a 2 year 8 month prison sentence for arson
after being convicted at Cardiff Crown Court on 11th November 2011.

He is 26 years old and is white, around 5 feet 9 inches tall and of medium build. He has short brown hair and several tattoos including "NAT" written on his right wrist and "SHANE"

written on his right arm.

His brother Jason ‘Jay’ Soal, 37, who is also known as Jason Brindley Davies, served a life sentence after strangling a retired teacher in his home in Llanbradach with a phone flex in 1991.

Jason Soal, who was 17 at the time of, had gone to the house with a 20-year-old from Cwmcarn with the intention of robbing it.

He was jailed for 12 years at Cardiff Crown Court in 1992, after being detained "at her Majesty’s pleasure" – the equivalent of a life sentence for a juvenile.

When Soal left prison in 2004 he was released on a lifetime licence which he has now breached.

Soal, who is originally from Trethomas, is said to have links to the Rhymney Valley and Risca.

He is described as 5ft 10ins tall and of medium build with brown eyes and short dark hair.

He has scars on the right side of his neck and on his right hand and has a tattoo on his left arm of a dragon in black ink and on the same arm a dragon and feathers in black ink.

Officers would advise anyone who sees Soal not to approach him, but to contact police immediately.
