History society aiming to find out more about Tadley's war dead
THE Tadley and District History Society, TADS, is trying to build a wider picture of locals who lost their lives fighting for their country.
TADS is researching the names on local war memorials, exploring their service history, personal details and connections with the local area and is keen to contact families of those listed.
The information will be used in an exhibition in Tadley Community Centre on Saturday, September 27, as part of the national commemoration to mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.
