A MAN remains in a critical condition in hospital after falling from a moving car in Newbridge on Wednesday.

Emergency services were called at around 5.05pm to reports of an accident on Bryngwyn Road.

On their arrival, police and ambulance services found a man in his forties with life threatening injuries, having fallen from a moving car.

He was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport where remains in a critical but stable condition, Gwent Police said this morning.

A 38-year-old woman from the Newbridge area, who was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drink driving, has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
