CAERPHILLY Castle has been lit up in solidarity with France following the attacks in Paris on Friday.
Iconic world monuments including Tower Bridge in London, Sydney Opera House and the Empire State have already been lit up in the French tricolour.
It is believed at least 129 people were killed in the attacks across France's capital.
Cadw monuments have been illuminated across Wales today in unity with the French people.
The inner gate house at Caerphilly Castle was illuminated earlier this evening.
A spokeswoman for the Welsh Government press office said there have been technical issues with the illumination but it should be fixed overnight or tomorrow.
