A NEWBRIDGE man who went missing nearly four years ago has been presumed dead by the High Court.
On December 30, 2012, Kyle Vaughan disappeared, prompting a manhunt to find him.
A silver Peugeot 306 belonging to the 24-year-old was found abandoned on the A467, between Risca and Crosskeys, following a suspected collision, but Mr Vaughan was nowhere to be found.
The former Cwmcarn High School pupil has not been seen since, and a spokeswoman from Gwent Police confirmed this week that his family have been informed of the High Court's decision.
“We can confirm the family of Kyle Vaughan has received a presumption of death certificate from the High Court judge,” she said.
Two men from Blackwood were arrested in January 2013 following the launch of a murder investigation, but were released last year with no further action.
Anyone with information is still urged to come forward, by calling 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
