THE man who died in a fatal road traffic incident on Tuesday, January 10 has been named by Gwent Police.
Jay Hayman, 30, from the Oakdale area was killed in the accident that occurred on the Croespenmaen Industrial Estate, which involved just one car – a yellow Peugeot 306.
A spokeswoman from Gwent Police confirmed that the family have been supported by officers and wish to be left alone to grieve.
“The family of Jay Hayman has asked to be left alone at this difficult time to grieve together,” she said.
On Tuesday, Gwent Police issued an appeal for witness to the incident, with anyone who saw what occurred urged to call the police on 101, quoting log reference 48 10/01/17 with information.
The crash at the industrial estate occurred at 7am on Tuesday, where Mr Hayman was pronounced dead at the scene by the attending members of the emergency services.
