Man gets Wales swearing ban

SWEARING BAN: Arron Jeremy Vaughan SWEARING BAN: Arron Jeremy Vaughan

A MAN has been banned from verbally abusing or swearing at anyone in Wales after being involved in incidents of anti-social behaviour in places including Newport.

Arron Jeremy Vaughan, 41, of no fixed address, was made the subject of a Crasbo – a criminal anti-social behaviour order – for two years when he appeared at Caerphilly Magistrates’ Court.

The order bans Vaughan, who has 32 convictions for public disorder offences, from acting or inciting others to act in an anti-social manner which causes harassment, alarm or distress to anyone within Wales. This includes verbally abusing anyone.

A Crown Prosecution Service spokesman said Vaughan was also sentenced to 14 days in prison after refusing to pay a fine of £150, costs of £85 and a £15 victim surcharge imposed by magistrates after he pleaded guilty to using threatening words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

The Crasbo is due to start on July 5.

I'm with you Beth.

Sadly this seems to be the "norm" these days. The foul language you hear off adults and children alike in public places is disgusting.

Apparently it makes them really hard, clever and funny.

I many things get blamed for it:
poor education, no discipline at home (or actually picked it up off parents), trying to impress their friends and look clever or possibly one of many other reasons, but the fact is nothing gets done about it (apart from this rare case).
