Abertridwr man missing for just over six months
4:30pm Tuesday 2nd October 2012 in Campaign news
AN ABERTRIDWR man has been missing since April this year and there are still no new leads.
The communities of Senghenydd and Abertridwr are together in their concern for Trevor Elias, a 77-year-old-man who seemingly vanished in April this year.
He was reported missing on Saturday April 7.
Caerphilly County Borough Councillor for Aber Valley, John Roberts said: "It has been a long time and the community is worried and we all hope that he will return safe and well.
"It must be extremely difficult for the family especially since his flat on Ilan Road in the village has been cleared.
"We have a meeting with police about issues in the village and we have discussed the disappearance of Trevor.
"It is very difficult for people who are used to seeing Trevor who would speak to people and was known as a friendly man.
"We are a close knit community and when we lose one we all feel the distress.
Trevor is one of us and we hope he returns safe and well."
Mr Elias has been missing from his Abertridwr home for over four months now - he was reported missing on Saturday April 7.
Officers are aware that he spent time at the Leigh Club between and 11.15pm and 12.15am and before that had been at The Buffs Club on Senghenydd Square.
Trevor is described as being approximately six feet tall, of very thin build, and has brown short hair.
He wears glasses.
If anyone has any information about his whereabouts that night or since they are asked to call Gwent Police on 101.
