Information on Bargoed incident sought

Gwent Police is appealing for information following the report of an assault that occurred on in Bargoed.
The incident took place on Hanbury Road, Bargoed at approximately 2.20am on Sunday October 7.
A 34-year-old man was walking along the road when he was approached from behind and pushed to the ground.
The offender then ran off.
The victim sustained a cut to the face and was taken to Prince Charles Hospital for treatment - he has since been released.
Officers are investigating the incident and ask that anyone with information calls 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
