CAMPAIGN readers have the chance to win tickets to the Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts returns to Cardiff International Arena.
The event takes place from October 30 - November 1 to celebrate its 15th birthday at the venue! With some great special features, lively demonstrations each day, plus all the latest products and ideas in the world of creative crafts & textiles.
Showtime features beautiful, original outfits from the wonderful British film Mrs Henderson Presents with an all-star cast including Academy Award nominees Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins, Will Young and Thelma Barlow (Mavis in Coronation Street). See the spectacular showgirls' costumes from the Windmill Theatre, which controversially put naked girls on the stage!
If you thought recycling couldn't be fun, think again! A group of artists prove how fashionable recycling can be with their creative display Reclaim, Re-use, Recycle which brings together their work creating clothes and objects of beauty from unwanted, reclaimed materials.
Want to design your very own greetings cards and gift boxes or create a beautiful scrapbook of memories? Enjoy daily on-stand Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft Demonstrations to learn about the very latest methods and materials. There will also be a programme of FREE daily Quick & Easy Workshops, Talks & Demonstrations where friendly professionals and experts will guide you in the right direction. There's no need to pre-book, just check the programme when you arrive or check www.ichf.co.uk where details will be posted a couple of weeks before the show. Learning has never been so much fun!
Show organisers, ICHF Ltd are proud to unveil the life-sized knitted display, Shaun the Sheep & The Great British PicKnit, featuring Shaun the Sheep and friends, plus many other knitted goodies - far too good to eat! This is the result of the 2007 knitting project, a collaboration between Aardman Animations (makers of Wallace & Gromit) and show organisers ICHF Ltd, with support from UKHKA (United Kingdom Hand-knitting Association) and Simply Knitting magazine. Visitors and the general public have contributed to this colourful and surprising knitting display with the aim of raising money for the Wallace & Gromit Children's Foundation.
With over 120 exhibitors, creative craft and stitching enthusiasts will find lots of inspiration and all the latest materials, tools and ideas needed to create their own personalised textile and creative crafts.
