I CAN believe what both the leaders of Conservative and Labour have said in their recent conferences.
David Cameron: Young people under 25 would not be able to claim employment or housing benefits under Tory government. This policy would result in more youth crime which will add to more misery and more overcrowded prisons. With the cost of getting a degree, what’s stopping a young person doing a crime and going to prison? Getting regular meals Sky TV and studying for various degrees. The media like a so-called criminal turning into a model citizen.
Labour leader Ed Miliband has said he is “absolutely clear” that energy bills will be frozen if his party wins the next general election. Nothing stopping the energy companies from increasing the energy bills straight after Labour wins the election. They will continue to raise bills until the freezing of bills is made law. So this policy wouldn’t save customers money but increase fuel bills across the country.
