PLANS to award MPs an 11 per cent pay rise have been criticised across Westminster, with one minister describing them as “utterly incomprehensible”.
Parliamentary watchdog Ipsa is set to recommend a rise of £7,600 to £74,000, to come in after the 2015 election.
Ipsa does not need to get the agreement of Parliament to bring in the changes.
I only hope that our MPs do the right thing and not accept this pay rise. As they should be leading by example.
