Less than half of people in Wales realise the NHS is run by the Welsh Government, according to a new poll commissioned by BBC Wales.
The poll – which marks 15 years since the Queen opened the Assembly in 1999 - found 48% knew the Welsh Government was responsible for the health service, with 43% thinking the UK Government was in charge.
The findings will throw a new light on the political row between the two administrations over standards in the Welsh NHS. Earlier this year Prime Minister David Cameron said care was so poor in some Welsh hospitals that Offa’s Dyke was a “line between life and death”.
Now I know why people contiune to vote Labour, when our NHS is in such a mess. Nearly half of people in Wales think the Tories are responsible. While Teflon Carwyn and his bunch of misfits get away with doing such a terriable job.
you could put a red rossette on a 80 year old duffer and in the port paul fylnn still gets elected
One day we'll be free of Labour incompetence in Wales.

Maybe I'll just move to England, it will be a lot quicker"

Cuts fall-out

MORE than 1,800 Caerphilly county borough residents waited over an hour for a first response after calling 999 for an ambulance last year.

There are deeply ingrained problems within our emergency care services and these figures lay bare their true extent.

Despite the hard work of front line staff, more evidence of severe delays and unacceptable waits makes for hugely distressing reading. While committed staff put in long hours and huge sacrifices, the Welsh NHS continues to struggle to deliver a step challenge in performance as a result of Labour’s record-breaking NHS budget cuts.
