ONLY three out of 10 voters in Mr Major's Huntingdon constituency
support the Maastricht Treaty on closer European union, according to a
poll published last night. A telephone survey of 607 voters in the Prime
Minister's seat by FDS Market Research for Anglia News showed that 59%
supported a referendum on Maastricht. The pollfound that 39% of people
would vote against Maastricht, 30% would support it, 27% did not know,
and 4% would not say.
