NEW ZEALAND star player Dan Carter has been ruled out of tomorrow's clash with Wales because of a leg injury.

The outside half, who has scored 162 points in nine appearances against Wales, pulled up with the problem during an All Blacks training session on yesterday.

He was taken to a Cardiff hospital on this morning, where scans revealed the extent of the damage.

"Gutted not to be playing," said Carter on his Twitter account.

Aaron Cruden, who has not lost in 18 games for the world champions, is expected to be promoted from the bench to be his replacement.

Carter, considered by many, to be the best player in world rugby, has previously stated the Millennium Stadium is his favourite ground to play at.
