WALES U20 v ENGLAND U20 (Tomorrow, KO 7.35)

WALES Under-20s centre Jack Dixon is feeling the heat in more ways than one ahead of tonight’s Six Nations title decider with England.

It’s only natural that the 18-year-old will be feeling the pressure with the young guns 80 minutes away from securing a Grand Slam in Colwyn Bay.

However, Dixon knows that he needs to put in a top performance after being given his first start of the tournament in the grand finale.

The powerful midfield man was on regional duty with Newport Gwent Dragons in the first three rounds of the tournament.

He made an impact off the bench in the 47-17 win in Scotland last Friday and his physicality earns the number 12 jersey this evening.

“I feel that my game progressed thanks to being involved a lot with the Dragons,” said the talented teenager.

“But those of us that played regional rugby had to earn our spots and have come into an environment where the standards are really high.

“There is a lot of competition for starting jerseys and the boys’ success so far is down to that.

“The whole squad has played their part in four good wins and this is the final push.

“The pressure is on us but we have to cope with that and deliver another win, which we are confident of doing.

“We play the game for these big occasions, it’s going to be a great atmosphere.”

If Wales win this evening then they will secure the title and a Grand Slam.

However, England’s superior points difference means that they will retain the title with any success.
