NEWPORT boxer Molly Scott triumphed for Wales in an action-packed show against an England Select in Hereford on Saturday night, writes Ian Morgan.
Scott, from St Joseph’s Boxing Club, defeated Tamworth’s Taylor Hathaway in a majority points decision from the judges.
She was fourth on the card and helped Colin Jones’ Wales Select team to a 5-4 success over Alan Keast’s England Select at Hereford Sixth Form College.
Mark Abberley, the Amateur Boxing Association of England chief executive, was among a 500-stong audience at Wye Amateur Police Boxing Club’s annual dinner show.
