Coombs back to lead Dragons charge against Ospreys
CAPTAIN Andrew Coombs returns to Newport Gwent Dragons’ starting line-up for the RaboDirect Pro12 clash against the Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium tomorrow (kick-off 7.05pm).
The Wales lock, who made his return from an ankle injury off the bench in last weekend’s Amlin Challenge Cup lost in Bath, partners Matthew Screech in the second row.
Director of rugby Lyn Jones has rung the changes after last weekend’s disappointing loss at the Rec.
Tom Prydie will face his old region after replacing Will Harries on the right wing, Lewis Robling comes in at inside centre with Ross Wardle returning to 13 while Kris Burton will pull the strings from fly-half in place in Jason Tovey, who suffered a concussion at the Rec.
Sam Parry comes in at hooker while Jevon Groves gets the nod ahead of Netani Talei at blindside flanker.
Loosehead Nathan Williams, lock Adam Jones and back row Ieuan Jones are chosen among the replacements.
The Ospreys select Wales fly-half Dan Biggar at full-back with Matthew Morgan handed the number 10 jersey. The hosts will hope that an all-Wales front five will provide him with a steady stream of possession.
Ex-Pontypool number eight Morgan Allen gets the nod ahead of former Dragons favourite Joe Bearman, who is on the bench along with the formidable propping duo Adam and Duncan Jones.
