A TRY at the death by Bedwas back row forward Deri Mattravers secured Crawshays a share of the spoils against Cambridge University on Wednesday evening, writes Chris Kirwan.
The 38-year-old, who was captaining the Welsh invitational side, crashed over from the final play to level the scores at 18-18 at Grange Road.
Dragons fly-half Steffan Jones, who kicked 10 points, was unable to add the extras from out wide but defeat would have been harsh on the students.
Wing Pat Tapley, who has been playing for Cambridge RFC on loan from Bedford, scored the other try for a Crawshays side that had a heavy Gwent influence.
