Newport 11 Cardiff 21

NEWPORT slumped to their third defeat in four Principality Premiership games after Cardiff did the league double over them with a win at Rodney Parade.

The Black and Ambers, for the second week, running failed to even get a losing bonus point from a game they hosted.

Rory Budina got a try for the home side while Geraint O’Driscoll kicked two penalties but their biggest rivals won the day, scoring three converted tries.

Yet another terrible display from Newport apart from the misthesed push by Ceiron Thomas the ref.gave Newport every opportunity. This is arguably the worst Newport side since Dai Patterson was captain. "Care-diff" wanted to win so much more. Why can't we get some experience at halfback the game is run from there ,kicking penalties dead, the scrum half almost running up his own backside when he did pick up the ball.It was a shambles having seen the fire in the derby since the 60's it really hurts to say that "Carediff" deserved their ther win.Long live king Waldron. Sorry. King Cronk.

Absolutely dire, the worst I have seen for years. Don't our players know that the opposition can't run without their legs? Does our number 10 know where the white lines are? Do they know what colour shirts their team mates wear? Does our coach have any idea?
Oh ... Mr Godfrey; you may have confidence in your coach but, if he stays, my wallet will stay in my pocket next year, enough is enough.

Something is definitely wrong. I have seen Newport put together a couple of good performances this season but, for the most part, it's been shocking. It has to come back to the coaching. The real Pity is Our Mr Godfreys mate Sven is safe as houses as long as the Newport side is seen purely as a vehicle to develope the odd youngster for the region and nothing else. Things really aren't going to change guys. I have seen enough for this season for sure. If they can't be bothered then neither can I.

Even the Cardiff coach said he was glad the final whistle had ended the game, rubbish performance by both sides.
